Q: Is the Denver Poker Tour a legal game?
A: Yes. more...

Q. What does it cost?
A. There is no fee to enter the Colorado Poker Tour tournament. Registration and sign-up sheets are available at each location. Call the location of the event for further registration information. Locations can fill up quickly

Q Is there any real money being bet?
A: No, that's illegal. Participants are playing with chips only. No side bets are allowed.

Q. Do I have to be at least 21 years of age to participate?
A: Yes.


Q. How do I play in the DPT?

A. Go to any of the DenverPokerTour.com locations listed on the web site approximately 30 minutes before the start of the game. SIGN-IN to play at the location on the sign-up sheet. At game time, your name will be called to sit down. Each player will receive 500 in chips at the start of the game. You will play Texas Hold'em against all other players at the location.

Q. What do I win?
A. Each location gives away prizes for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish. The winner at each night also receives a certificate to play in our monthly, Mid-Way, and Final Tournaments. Players will be able to qualify more than once, but will still only get one seat at the National Tournament. Player will receive additional buy-in amount for each qualifying tournament win with a four (4) qualifying win maximum. Click here for the complete prize breakdown. Top finishers of the Regional Tournament (20% of the players participating) will move on to the Statewide Final.

Q. How do I get signed up to play?
A. Players may sign up in advance at the event location if a sign-in procedure is available, or will be subject to availability of spots on the date of the tournament.

Q. What do I need to know about the National Showdown Tournament June 30, 2006?
A: Your certificate wins allow for you to compete in the Regional Final in each city. The top 20% finishers in each region will be invited to compete October 28, 2006 for the $25,000 National Tournament.

The Regional Final in each city will compete for cash and prizes during your game. You will play down to a winner in each Region. The Final table of each region will also receive cash & prizes.

YOU MUST COMPETE IN A REGIONAL FINAL AND PLACE IN THE TOP SPOTS REQUIRED, TO BE INVITED TO THE STATEWIDE FINAL. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.

Q. How do I host an event?
A. Contact the Denver Poker Tour to check availability of an event date. DenverPokerTour.com produces the events every day of the week in Colorado. The next series starts May 12, 2006 and runs until October 28, 2006.

Q. Why choose the United Bar Poker Tour?
A: Our poker tour is the first, biggest and best in the country. We have the largest player base, with over 150 bars in Colorado alone, and 45-150 players per bar per night.

Q. How many certificates can I use in a tournament?
Monthly Tournaments: Players may use up to Three (3) Certificates in the monthly tournaments for a total of $3,000 in starting chip count.

Mid-way tournaments: Players may use up to Four (4) Certificates in the Mid-Way Statewide tournaments for a total of $4,000 in starting chip count.

Regional Final tournaments: Players may use up to Five (5) Certificates in the Regional Statewide tournaments for a total of $5,000 in starting chip count.

Grand Final Statewide Tournament: All Players will start with $2,500 in chips each.
