Statewide Final Tournament Begins: October 15th, 2005

The Denver Poker Tour has just given away $50,000 in cash in prizes, making it the largest free bar poker tour prize ever given away in the United States. This concludes the Summer Classic Showdown where 8000 competitors played throughout Colorado during the spring and summer.

 
Regional Mid-Way Holiday Tournament December 23, 2005
for October, November & December Winners

A total of 509 players participated in the Denver Poker Tour Holiday tournament at the Marriot DTC. The game started at 7:15PM and ran until 1:30AM. Click here for pictures of the five "MONEY" winners.

Regional Final Tournament for all previous months' winners: October 7th and 8th, 2005

Players compete for up to $2,500.00 (up to $5,000.00 in Denver) in cash and prizes. Western Colorado is sending its players to Denver to compete in the Denver Regional for the Denver Regional Prize. Player rankings are now available.

 

Denver Academy Charity Poker Event - August 31, 2005 CB Potts

Location: CB Potts 6575 Greenwood Plaza Blvd. Greenwood Village, CO [map] Proceeds from the event will benefit the Denver Academy Summer Scholarship Program.

Phil Gordon has also agreed to an exclusive marketing agreement with the Denver Poker Tour. Summer Showdown: Denver Regional Mid-Way Tournament

On Friday July 8th at the Ramada/Club 212, over 450 players competed in the Denver Poker Tour Mid-Way Tournament for over $2500.00 in cash and prizes. The balance of power shifted many times throughout the night, but the eventual winner was:

WHY: Raise money for the Cherry Creek JC's Charities

Come play Texas Hold'em No Limit Poker for fun, food, and festivities. Food, drawings, and more will be provided at this event.The best poker player of the night will win the recognition they deserve. Raffles and random prizes will be held all night long. Everyone who attends will receive a raffle ticket for some local sports autographed memorabilia. Food will be provided and there will be a cash bar. Buy your tickets in advance for $30.00 or at the door for $35.00. Arrive at 6PM for dinner and drinks. Tournament starts at 7PM.

THE POKER TOURNAMENT IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. NO PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR THE PLAYERS BASED ON THE PLAYERS' PARTICIPATION IN THE GAME.

The Summer Showdown Classic:

Table Steaks East had 275 of the Denver Poker Tour April winners compete for over $1000 in cash and prizes. The game started at 7PM and wasn't over till 1:15AM. the players qualified to play in this tournament by winning in April in a Denver Poker Tour location. They are also qualified to play in the Mid-Way tournament to be held July 8th at a location to be determined. Estimated number of players for the Mid-Way will be 1200.

May 13th, 2005
The Fort Collins tournament will still be held on May 13th at City Limits, and the Colorado Springs/Pueblo tournament will be held May 13th at Kelly O'Brians in Colorado Springs. Players will compete for over $1000 in cash and prizes.

April 15, 2005 - Tournament of Champions at Table Stakes E 7PM

Several of the Top Finishers from the Fall / Winter Showdown, Summer 2004, and Spring 2004 Championship games were "invited" to come back and play again in a Texas Hold'em Tournament at Table Stakes E at 7:00 PM Friday April 15th. See pictures of the tournament and find out who won.

1,050 people competed in the Denver Poker Tour's Fall/Winter Showdown. We saw big egos, big hands, and big wins. In the end, you could feel the tension in the air as the top 10 players in Denver competed to be #1 at the final table. (video coming soon)

Jason Hilbert of Ft. Collins won the Fall/Winter Final Showdown Tournament March 20, 2005 and receives the $10,000 buy-in at the World Series of Poker. Cash and prizes totaling $25,000 were also given away.
